How Many Drinks? by Miguel
One drink is all it takes.
Miguel poses the question that has confounded twenty-somethings and old playas alike, “How many drinks would it take you to leave with me?” I have a hard time believing Miguel has a problem convincing a young lady to accompany him home, especially after disclosing, “I got money.” Nevertheless, a recipe for a romantic (cough and chuckle) interlude must include major ingredients such as drink type, time and gender.
Ladies weigh less and have higher body fat than men. Along with other factors, these characteristics enable women to feel the effects of alcohol sooner. Vino is the libation of choice among women drinkers (pssst, wine’s higher alcohol content is conducive to lowering inhibitions). If she is a lush, all bets are off. The more avid the drinker, the more alcohol it takes to get tipsy.
A few drinks may loosen her up, but a man’s over indulgence impacts lovemaking skills. Alcohol slows down the nervous system, which controls arousal.
In a University of Washington study, sober men were able to obtain an erection faster than intoxicated men.Tweet This
Miguel’s hunch of approximately two drinks is consistent with study-after-report-after-bar observation on a Saturday night. With women imbibing in social lubrication on the regular, Miguel will have a long line of ladies following him home.
