Reality checking song lyrics, music musings and more
Have you ever listened to a song and thought, ”Could that really happen?” lyricfancy answers that question by reality checking music lyrics. I conduct lyric experiments. Start with a song, form a hypothesis, mix in a little research and see what happens.
To complement the lyric experiments, I travel the country covering music events from historic Carnegie Hall, to the dirt fields of the Firefly Music Festival, to small intimate clubs in Seattle. I would LOVE to tell the story of your event. Below is a sampling of lyricfancy goodness. For more information, contact me at email@example.com.

Lyric How many drinks would it take you to leave with me? Song & Artist How Many Drinks? by Miguel Hypothesis One drink is all it takes. Analysis Miguel poses the question that has confounded twenty-somethings and old playas alike, "How many drinks would it take you to leave with me?"
I was in the lab working on the latest lyrical experiment, when I felt obligated to share my musical out-of-body experience. Prince. Merely uttering (or writing) his name is enough. Prince Rogers Nelson graced Baltimore with his presence at the Rally 4 Peace concert on Sunday, May 10.
Editor's Note: The headlines and (timelines) are filled with the extracurricular exploits of committed individuals (cough, cough Victor and Nicole). There seems to be more blatant interaction between the wife/fiancé/main boo and the side piece. I am reposting the lyric experiment that examines infidelity and all its messy glory.
Sunday, June 22 After grabbing breakfast at a local diner full of firefly-ers, I embarked on day two. I hit The Market, sort of a vendor village. I copped a few cuffs and bought some baubles. I then dipped in The Arcade to suck up some air conditioning and peep the vintage games.
